Once there, he gets a look at various surgeries, and he wants out - assisted at first by a woman who believes she's a mermaid. He pretends to drown, he dresses as a woman, and, when running away, he inadvertently joins the town's annual fat man foot race. But can he outrun the men in white coats?—

Fatty Arbuckle is a butcher boy working in a small town country store where they sell everything from frankfurters to fire escapes. He falls in love with the cashier, who is the daughter of the proprietor, and she, in return, has eyes for no one else. The careless clerk of the store resents the attentions being paid her by Fatty, and informs the old man. He keeps his "weather" eye on them both, and one day discovers Fatty sending her mental love messages, and forbids him to ever speak to her again. But Fatty is undaunted, and finds a way. Fatty also learns of the careless clerk's love for the girl, and when the latter objects to Fatty's love making they have a fight which ruins the store and ends in the old man sending the girl to a seminary. Fatty resolves to win the girl of his heart, and disguised as her cousin, gains admittance to the place, and, while having the time of his life, he is confronted with his hated rival, also dressed as a girl, who, with the village pest and another schemer, have decided to kidnap the daughter. "Luke" discovers the plot, and in his own particular way rounds the gang up, who are held at bay by the principal of the school while Fatty runs away with the girl to the nearest clergyman.—Moving Picture World synopsis

A rotund young man and his wife are spending the day at the beach at Coney Island. Feeling restless and wanting to go to the amusements at Luna Park, he ditches his wife. At the amusement park, he meets a pretty young woman. She arrived at the amusement park with one man and went in with another who had money to pay her entrance, before she ends up spending much of the day with the rotund husband, who managed to get the second man arrested. As the husband and the pretty young woman get into one misadventure after another, the first two men try to win back the affection of the pretty young woman, while the wife goes searching for her husband. The wife and the second man, who are old friends, team up in their quest, which leads to further misadventure for all five and the police.—Huggo

A large woman brings Buster to court, wrongly accusing him of smashing a window. But the judge is an immigrant who only understands Polish. He mistakes Buster and the woman for another couple and marries them to one another. The large woman brings her new husband to her home, where Buster is confronted with her brutal brothers. The next morning one of them finds a letter, which has slipped out of Buster's clothes. The man doesn't see that the letter isn't addressed to Buster, who just got it by mistake. The letter says that the addressee has inherited §100.000. Believing that Buster has become rich his new brothers-in-law start to treat him kindly. They purchase a luxury house for him by installments. When they find out that the letter actually isn't addressed to Buster, their attitude changes once more. They now want to kill him. Day Dreams (1922)

When Keaton is rejected by his girl friend, he sets out in a small boat seeking forgetfulness. His troubles increase, however, when he takes refuge on a whaling ship. He quickly incurs the wrath of the despotic ship's captain. Making his escape, Buster next encounters a large flotation device which he does not recognize as a target for nautical maneuvers. It is blown to smithereens and Buster wakes up from a dream. We realize the whole story has been a dream. And Buster, to his consternation, discovers his own small boat has never left the dock.—John Tibbetts

The Love Nest (1923)

Out of work, Buster tries various ways to commit suicide. At last he tries "poison" from a bottle containing booze. The president of a sporting club speaks of the need for a sportsman to promote the club and drunken Buster gets the job for which he must learn fishing, hunting and riding.—Ed Stephan

Buster clowns around in a blacksmith's shop until he and the smithy get in a fight which sends the smithy to jail. Buster helps several customers with horses, then destroys a Rolls Royce while fixing the car parked next to it.—Ed Stephan

Buster and Phyllis endure a number of outdoor adventures trying to prove to each other their survival skills. The balloon which lands Buster in the wilderness proves useful later on as their canoe is about go over a waterfall.—Ed Stephan

Botany major Buster mistakenly graduates in electrical engineering and is hired to wire a new home. He installs lots of fanciful gadgets. The one who should have received the degree gets even by rewiring all the gadgets to wreak havoc.—Ed Stephan

Buster's handmade boat, The Damfino, is finished and is, of course, too large to get through the basement door. When he drives off with it in tow, the side of his house, then the whole thing, collapses. At the harbor he rides the boat out only to have it sink beneath him. Buster is a bank clerk. Overturned glue gets everything, mostly the money, stuck to everything else. When robbers show up he can't "stick 'em up" because his hands are stuck in his pockets. The robbers' hideout is a haunted house designed to scare off police.—Ed Stephan

Evil oil barons have given the Indians one day to vacate their land. The Indian chief tells his braves to kill the first white man they see. Buster shows up chasing a butterfly.
