Wartime film dealing with a Japanese torpedo bomber squadron at war.The film opens with the Battle of Midway, The enemy carriers and ships are sunk with the IJN suffering minimal losses. However, the enemy has yet to surrender. Three IJN fliers Mikami (Susumu Fujita), Kawakami (Masayuki Mori), and Murakami (Akitake Kono) are good friends, and they are all renowned for their torpedo techniques. Mikami is posted as a staff officer at a base on an island in the Pacific. The base gets attacked by Allied Aircraft but the Zeros always fight back. One Air-raid has P-38s shooting down natives and a U.S. Pilot shot down. The Pilot is extremely disrespectful and the fliers realize how the Americans "really are". Kawakami and Murakami later join him as the base squadron is reinforced. An enemy task is spotted in the Philippine Sea. The enemy task force approaches the island and all three attack the fleet, killing themselves in the process. The Carrier Squad destroys the Main Task Force and the Land Squad attacks the Final Task Force. The fleet is sunk and the men have done their duty well.Good scenes of Nakajima Jill (Tenzan) torpedo bombers, and a scene involving a captured American flyer, played by Osman Yusuf (Mothra, King Kong vs. Godzilla, King Kong Escapes). The film takes place during the Battle of the Philippine Sea. In the Battle, The Japanese lost Taiho, Shokaku, and Hiyo. The Film shows Yorktown and Wasp-Class Carriers being sunk. This shows that the FIlm is blatant Propaganda. It also shows really hard how the film wants you to hate Americans.

In the winter of 1868, Eben Frost goes to a Boston pawnshop and redeems a silver medal, inscribed to "Dr. W.T.G. Morton, the Benefactor of Mankind, with the Gratitude of Humanity." Frost drives to a country farmhouse and gives the medal to Morton's widow, Elizabeth Morton who explains to her daughter, Betty, that Frost was the first person given anesthesia by her father, Boston dentist Dr. W.T.G. Morton. The story flashes back 20 years to find Morton being wildly acclaimed by medical students as the man whose discovery of "letheon" had forever ended pain as, before that day, even amputations were performed with the patient fully conscious. "Letheron", unknown to everybody but Morton and Elizabeth, is simply highly rectified sulfuric ether - cleaning fluid - easily obtainable at a pharmacy. By keeping the secret, Dr. Morton could be rich, but he had rather be poor than see a girl strapped to an operating table under the knife of Dr. Warren, and he reveals his secret to a group of surgeons in the hospital operating theatre. With his secret out, and all hope of personal reward gone, with the possible exception of proceeds from his glass inhaler, he gets the news that Congress has voted him a reward of $100,000, and also learns that the patent on his inhaler has been infringed. President Pierce, under pressure from newspapers inflamed by jealous medical rivals of Morton, refuses to sign the bill until Morton has proven patient infringement.—Les Adams

Professors Dexter and Gilmore have successfully reawakened a tramp who had been frozen for four months. This was a preliminary stage for a more ambitious attempt at bringing a prehistoric man back to life. After a lengthy search, the two researchers find a body frozen in a block of arctic. Back at the lab, they revive him but he is unable to communicate with them and quite violent. He manages to escape his holding cell and kill a policeman on the street. Dexter decides he must replace part of his brain to make him more compliant and capable of talking. His first choice of a brain donor is the fiance of Gilmore's niece, Anne. This upsets Gilmore so much that he pulls a gun on Dexter, threatening to shoot if he continues. Dexter is so angry that he schemes to use Gilmore's brain instead. Prof. Franz Mueller is trying to sustain brain activity to keep important people's minds beyond their deaths. As the brain is treated with plasma, it begins to telepathically take control of the scientist's assistant, Patrick Cory. The longer this continues, the stronger the connection to Patrick's mind. In fact, his whole personality takes on aspects of Henry Donovan, a ruthless millionaire financial wizard. Donovan wants Patrick to win freedom for Roger Collins who has wrongfully imprisoned for a murder he didn't commit. Mueller's other assistant, lovely Janice Farrell, is conflicted. She knows that Mueller has eyes for her, but is repulsed by him as a person. She is sweet on Patrick. The two plan to run away together until Donovan's personality takes over.—Garon Smith

In the beginning of the 20th century, Lawrence 'Larry' Stevens is an ambitious reporter on "The Evening News." One day while celebrating with his colleagues, he tells his friend Pop Benson that he would like to know the news in advance before it happens. While they are walking on the street, they see a poster of the clairvoyant Cigolini and his gorgeous niece Sylvia Smith and they decide to go to a theater to see the show. Larry flirts with Sylvia and on his way back home, he overhears Pop on the street and the old man tells that he is waiting for him and gives a newspaper to him. Larry does not give much attention and puts the newspaper in the pocket of his jacket. On the next morning, he finds that the newspaper is an edition of the next day. Larry uses the information to scoop about a hold up in the opera house, becoming the prime suspect of Inspector Mulrooney. Larry dates Sylvia and Pop gives another edition of "The Evening News" of the next day. Larry becomes a successful reporter and is promoted and has a raise on his job. He plans to marry Sylvia and decides to find the winners of the horse race. But soon he also learns that he will die on the next day. Episodic telling of 20 years of the working-class Gibbons family in their South London rental house from 1919 to 1939--from just after the conclusion of WWI to just before the start of WWII. Beyond the profound effect of such world events on their lives, and the ebbs and flows of general western society in all aspects, husband and wife Frank and Ethel Gibbons must hold their family together through other, more personal events. Besides their immediate family, their household consists of her mother, Mrs. Flint, who is always feigning that she is on her deathbed; and his spinster sister Sylvia Gibbons, who clings to odd notions of life as her only sense of independence; these two don't get along, each seeing the other as an intrusion on the household. The three Gibbons offspring are a disparate group but generally get along. Only son Reg is easily swayed, especially by his best friend Sam Leadbitter, who wants to see social justice at all cost. While she secretly loves Sam, level-headed older daughter Vi doesn't like Sam's influence on Reg and his life choices. Younger daughter Queenie hates their "common life" and will do almost anything to escape it, meaning that she will not marry Billy Mitchell, who has always loved her, and she has always loved him in her own way although he isn't her idea of husband material.
