The next day, Van Schoonbeek's employee Mr. Thomas (Mark Heap) visits the family and informs them that the architect has agreed to build a house for the family if they vacate their current home. Raymond and Penny sign the agreement and the family moves in just as the workers are finishing construction.The house is immediately peculiar: workers are seen refitting the house, but when approached by Mabel, they only stare at her vacantly without speaking; extravagant food is provided in the dining hall, but with no sign to who might be cooking or serving it; electric lights seem to hypnotize Raymond and Penny. That night, as Mabel and Isobel go to bed, Raymond and Penny find themselves fascinated by a fireplace and sewing machine in the house's withdrawing room, remaining there for hours on end without thinking of their daughters. Raymond is left baffled by the fact that he can't start a fire, while an unseen Van Schoonbeek laughs at his frustrations.The next morning, Mabel discovers that the workers have built a new room outside her window and removed the stairs, forcing them to descend via a ladder in the billiard room. She also sees Thomas acting nervously before informing her that Van Schoonbeek is making adjustments to the house; in the distance, his workers can be seen tearing down the family's old home. Soon after, Van Schoonbeek delivers new outfits to Raymond and Penny made out of couch cushions and curtains. The parents adore the outfits, though Mabel considers them strange. That night, Mabel and Isobel explore the house and enters the basement, eventually discovering their old home preserved underneath the house; finding the old house more comfortable, the two of them remain there for a time, but when hunger eventually forces them to leave, they find themselves lost in the maze of seemingly identical passageways. Meanwhile, as Penny mindlessly sews new curtains, Raymond kneels before the fireplace and - at the prompting of Mr Thomas - finally succeeds in lighting a fire by burning the family's old possessions, including Mabel's old dollhouse.Mabel and Isobel continue to wander the house in search of a way back to her parents, eventually stumbling upon a drunken and terror-stricken Thomas who confesses that he is simply an actor under the command of Van Schoonbeek; the two move on and are forced to sleep in the passage. Meanwhile, Raymond and Penny kneel before the fireplace, seemingly entranced by the burning dollhouse, oblivious to the fact that Van Schoonbeek has once again appeared nearby (sedan chair and all) and is laughing maniacally at them. Later, Mabel and Isobel inexplicably awaken to find themselves in the corridor outside the withdrawing room, and find that Van Schoonbeek is gone, while Raymond and Penny have been turned into furniture, Raymond a chair, and Penny curtains. As the dollhouse burns and the room is set on fire, Raymond and Penny seemingly awaken from their trance and beg Mabel to leave with Isobel; Penny lets her sheets down the window to allow them to escape. As the sun rises, Mabel and Isobel watch as smoke bellows from the room and their parents burn alive. Mabel and Isobel's fates are left unclear.II - Then lost is truth that can't be wonMany years later, the house is now settled in a developed city street and is currently up for sale. The developer (Jarvis Cocker) working on the house, an anthropomorphic rat, begins refurbishing the house for an upcoming property viewing; however, having laid off his construction crew in order to reduce costs in the light of his newest business loans (not helped by the fact it is in the midst of a recession), he has to do all the work himself, including installing a new rotisserie oven for the kitchen. He soon discovers an insect infestation in the house, which he ultimately identifies as being perpetrated by parasitic "fur" beetles. The developer initially quickly tries to cover up with sealant. As he works, he periodically sends updates to an apparently estranged lover, promising them a vacation in the Maldives. However, the bug problem only gets worse, with the developer quickly throwing down Boric acid all around the house; the fur beetles and larva are shown persisting in the sub-floor, and the developer spends one night sleeping in the kitchen surrounded by dead bugs.On the day of the viewing, the developer receives the wrong order of home-delivered groceries and is forced to improvise food for the event with junk food and energy drinks. As guests come in and explore the house, they find it disappointing and unable to live up to the developer's boasts. Worse still, many guests also spread dirt through the house. Even the rotisserie oven proves to be a disappointment, as the only thing the developer had to cook on it were sausages. Before long, the visitors begin to shuffle out as the developer begins losing faith in his pitch, until the house is almost empty. However, a strangely shaped older couple (Wife (Yvonne Lombard) & Husband (Sven Wollter)) express adoration for the developer's improvements and show interest in buying the house, but end up remaining long past the viewing hours, having made themselves at home in the upstairs bedroom; though puzzled, the developer allows them to stay.Over the next few days, the odd couple remain firmly settled in the house, and the bugs return in force. With the bank demanding repayment of his business loan, the developer grows impatient and calls his estranged lover again in desperation for advice, only to be hung up on with a warning to never call them "darling" again. In a frenzy, the developer begins tearing down papers from his bulletin board, before tripping over his printer and suffering an apparent hallucination in which all the bugs and larvae in the house dance before him. When the developer finally regains consciousness, he confronts the couple while they're in the bathroom, revealing them to have bodies the shape a larva and a beetle. Not noticing this, he calls the police to report the odd couple after they refuse to leave; right away, a pair of police officers (#1 (Tommy Hibbits) # 2 (Ayesha Antoine)) arrive - only to warn the developer to stop calling his estranged lover: it is revealed the estranged lover is his dentist, Dr. Jafri, who is ready to bring him to court for harassment.Then, the odd couple's extended family arrives at the house, the two claiming that they lived there beforehand. At his wit's end, the developer snaps and threatens to kill them with the Boric acid, though he ends up inhaling a mouthful and fainting, prompting an emergency visit to the hospital. The developer survives but is reduced to a seemingly catatonic state either by poison exposure or stress and doesn't even react to angry phone calls from the bank. The odd couple eventually picks the developer up and brings him home, where the couple's family throws him a welcome back party, many of them now sporting additional limbs. The final scene shows the family destroying the house, climbing up the walls and chewing through everything like bugs, having either mutated into giant insects or having been secretly insects all along. The developer, having regressed to animal intelligence, briefly emerges from the ruins of the rotisserie oven to eat some garbage before retreating back through the oven to his new home - a hole in the wall.III - Listen again and seek the sunAt an unspecified point in the future, the world has suffered a seemingly apocalyptic flood, with only a few structures remaining above water. The house has miraculously survived but is now surrounded by rising waters. Rosa (Susan Wokoma), a cat, acts as the landlord for the property, and dreams of restoring the house to its former glory for new tenants. However, her two current feline tenants, fisherman Elias (Will Sharpe) and hippie Jen (Helena Bonham Carter), have only been paying their rent with fish and stones, which, along with the sub-par materials and brown water, limits Rosa's ability to fix the house. Jen informs Rosa about her spirit partner who is set to arrive the next day, though Rosa is less than pleased.Jen's spirit partner, Cosmos (Paul Kaye), arrives by boat and sets up his tent outside the house, much to Rosa's chagrin. However, after learning that Cosmos is a craftsman, Rosa enlists him to work on the house repairs. The four cats party that night in celebration of a new beginning, while the waters continue to rise around the house as a thick fog settles in. The next day, Rosa discovers that Cosmos has been tearing up the house's floorboards to build a boat for Elias. As Cosmos continues to refit the house against Rosa's wishes, Rosa and Elias argue outside, with Rosa angry about the tenants destroying what she's been working for and Elias pointing out that, with the floodwaters still rising, the house will probably never see new tenants anyway - eventually claiming Rosa is simply afraid to leave the house. Elias later departs the house on the makeshift boat, leaving behind drawings of Rosa he made over the years, much to her sorrow. After a brief argument with Cosmos, she finds an I-beam has been installed in the ground in front of her house, further angering her.As the water and mist continues to seep into the house, Rosa starts having doubts about the house, soon having a dream about losing the house and her friends. Emerging from Cosmos' tent, Rosa sees Jen and Cosmos sailing away, begging her to join them. Resigning herself to tears, Rosa desperately pleads with the house to let her leave and rediscovers the neon sign Cosmos left. She quickly remembers that the I-beam is actually a lever; when pushed, it transforms the house into a seaworthy vessel, letting her escape as the floods destroy the surrounding foundations. Taking control of the house ship, she joins Jen, Cosmos, and a returning Elias as the four sail out into the ocean.

The girl is supercool Mila Starr (Emily Carey), the only child of billionaire, scientific genius, philanthropist, couple Marlene and Maddox Starr. And so, in Monster Family 2, the imperfect Wishbones meet the most perfect family in the world!The Wishbones have only one choice, if they want to save Baba Yaga and Renfield they must transform into monsters again. However even as a Vampire, Frankenstein's Monster, a Mummy and a Werewolf they struggle when faced with Mila, who's quick-witted and super athletic in equal measures. And she has high-tech gadgets, including a shrink-ray gun and the state-of-the-art Starr-Copter, that would make even James Bond turn green with envy. In her Starr-Copter Mila travels around the world capturing immortal beings on behalf of her parents. Beings such as Dracula (yes he's back), Baba Yaga, Nessie, the Yeti and the musically-minded, giant ape King Conga.But Mila is by no means a bad person. She firmly believes that she is on a mission to save the world because her parents are building a machine that will cure all illnesses! For this they need the very beings Mila is capturing, those who are immune to disease and appear to be immortal.Max and quick-witted Mila could hardly be more different, so they are bound to constantly squabble, much to the amusement of the audience. However, with their tumultuous adventures around the globe leading them to Loch Ness, the Himalayas, the island of Tora Tora and finally Starr Inc.'s secret sky-high lab, they'll learn to like each other - even if they'd rather do almost anything else than admit it. However, their relationship begins to shift from frenemies (friendly enemies) to something more when Mila discovers a life changing secret and it is Max who risks everything to save her.Ultimately each member of the Wishbone family and Mila learn a valuable lesson. Max sees that being tall and strong isn't important - it's easier to win a girl's heart with courage and kindness. Fay discovers that she has a gift with animals, King Conga. Frank sees his family happy once again. And Emma's learnt that it's smarter to trust her kids than to constantly interfere. But above all it is Mila who has realised something even more important - she does not have to be perfect to be loved. The Wishbones accept her flaws and all. Yes, every human, every being, is worthy of respect and love. As Max proclaims at Baba Yaga and Renfield's much delayed wedding reception, just before giving Mila a peck on the cheek - "Nobody's Perfect".

Martin Lowery is a scientist sent to a government-controlled outpost while an unspecified pandemic has ravaged the country. The outpost is located in an unusually fertile forested area outside Bristol to help in the studies and experiments of his former colleague and ex-lover Olivia Wendle regarding using mycorrhiza to increase crop efficiency. After passing a physical examination and meeting his park guide Alma, he learns of the local legend of Parnag Fegg, a woodland spirit. The following morning, Martin and Alma begin their two-day hike toward Olivia's site.Alma informs Martin that Olivia has not been heard from in months. The pair come across an abandoned tent, with the remaining items indicating it belonged to a family. The next night, Martin discovers a rash on his arm before he and Alma are assaulted by unknown assailants who also raid their camp, destroy their equipment, steal their shoes, and loot some of their supplies. Without his shoes, Martin badly cuts his foot.They are approached by Zach, a man living in the woods who offers to lend the pair some shoes. Taking them to his own campsite, Zach disinfects and stitches Martin's wound and gives them both food and a drink. Martin and Alma begin to lose consciousness and realize they have been sedated. While they are unconscious, Zach takes ritualistic photos of them in strange clothes and positions and stitches a strange symbol and animal gut into Martin's arm.Upon waking up Zach describes the symbol as a mark to be seen by a presence in the woods, claimed by him to have once been an ancient sorcerer who placed his essence in a standing stone somewhere in the forest. Martin's foot becomes infected from his injury and Zach sloppily amputates some of his toes with a hatchet.Alma acquires a discarded blade to free herself and Martin before attacking Zach. Martin and Alma flee, but become separated. Zach pursues Martin, who stumbles across a pair of bodies, presumed to be the owners of the abandoned camp. After encountering the standing stone, Martin is found and rescued by Olivia. Alma independently makes her way to the camp, and Zach is driven away by the amplified sound and lights set up around Olivia's site.The next morning, Olivia cauterizes Martin's foot as she explains her project. She reveals that Zach is her ex-husband, and that the pair were following the directions of a centuries-old book on local legends. He had been helping her to try and communicate with the presence inside the stone, using the lights and noises from an electronic soundboard, but disapproved of her approach and left. Unable to trust Olivia and fearing that Zach is still after them, Alma tries to convince Martin that they need to leave, but he will not be drawn on the nature of his relationship with Olivia and she refuses to abandon her research.The next morning, the site is surrounded by a thick mist containing fungal spores, trapping them. They send Alma through the mist in a hazmat suit, but the spores make it through her protective clothing and subject her to horrifying visions. That night, the mist continues to close in on the site as Zach arrives, telling them to communicate with the standing stone using the sounds and lights as well as to consume a "sacrament," a mixture of ground mushrooms alluded to in the book.Martin agrees to drink the sacrament and waits for it to take effect. Zach ambushes Alma and prepares to sacrifice Martin. Alma makes her way back to camp, where she finds Olivia in her tent surrounded by staged photographs of her and Zach's victims. Olivia attacks Alma, but she fends her off. Zach hears their struggle and rushes back to camp, where Alma kills him. She then pursues Olivia back to the standing stone as the mist overtakes the camp, and they are all subjected to more visions from the spores.By morning, Alma and Olivia suddenly find themselves far from the stone, broken out from their trances. Olivia, overcome with awe, collapses on the ground. Alma then approaches a waking Martin by the stone and, speaking with a distorted voice, she offers to guide him out of the woods. A young man named Kurt Kunkle is obsessed with being a social media star and becoming viral. A child he used to babysit, Bobby, is now an internet celebrity who frequently makes livestreams and has high viewer numbers, making Kurt jealous. Kurt finds work as a driver for a rideshare app called Spree, then fits out his car with cameras and begins a new livestream titled "The Lesson", where he instructs viewers on how to become famous on social media.Kurt starts picking up passengers and killing them with poisoned bottles of water that he hands out in his car to gain attention. Kurt later learns that Jessie will be performing in a comedy show that will be livestreamed to millions. Kurt goes to Bobby's house, demanding that Bobby share Kurt's stream, but Bobby refuses and starts livestreaming their argument, attracting a large audience. Kurt kills Bobby and takes his gun before livestreaming for Bobby's fans, who assume the murder is fake.Kurt's father Kris asks him for a ride to a club where he is performing, claiming that a famous DJ called uNo will be there and promising that the DJ will tag Kurt in a photo. When Kurt picks up Kris and takes him to the club, he approaches uNo; she initially refuses to tag him, but then asks him to take her to a taco truck with the promise of tagging him. While waiting for Kurt to get her some food from the truck, uNo discovers Bobby's gun and poses with it on a livestream before drinking some of the poisoned water and passing out. After realizing this, Kurt attempts to drive away but is stopped by two police officers, who grow suspicious of him. It is revealed that Kurt's murders have already become known to the public, with Kurt being called "The Rideshare Killer" after police are unable to identify him.uNo, having survived drinking the poisoned water, wakes up and panics, shooting dead one of the officers before fleeing, pursued by the second officer. Kurt tries to flee, but he too is pursued by more police, forcing him to escape while crashing his car through a homeless camp. With Kurt's murders becoming more well known, Spree is temporarily shut down to allow an investigation to take place. Jessie begins her show, performing a bit about her encounter with Kurt and how disgusted she is by people's desperation for social media fame before concluding her set by destroying her phone on stage, followed by a mic drop. Her actions cause her speech to go viral. After getting drunk, she is picked up by Kurt via another rideshare app called GoGo, with Kurt having killed the previous driver. Kurt gloats that as Jessie destroyed her phone on stage, she has no way of calling for help; she tries to escape after learning he is taking her to his house.Unable to get out of the car, Jessie garrotes Kurt with a charger cable, causing them to crash, but Kurt recovers and beats Jessie unconscious. He arrives at his house and places Jessie's unconscious body outside before being requested by his now-eager viewers to kill Jessie. Distracted by a faulty camera, Kurt doesn't notice Jessie regaining consciousness. She manages to take control of the car and crashes into Kurt's house while trying to run him over. Kurt flees into the house while Jessie is confronted by an intoxicated Kris. The pair discover Kurt's dead mother, who had been killed by Kurt at the start of his livestream. Kurt shoots his father dead and tries to kill Jessie, but she pins him to the wall with the car, and beats him to death with his own phone. She takes a selfie with his dead body and posts it on her Instagram account.Jessie becomes a nationwide star after taking credit for disrupting Kurt's rampage, while Kurt and his killings become revered in small corners of the internet. So she leaves, but she notices something weird about the way Mason behaves.Soon, Joel discovers that his son is behaving in a weird manner and things around the house move on their own.Meanwhile, the babysitter enlists the help of a priest who was disgraced by the media for killing children during his exorcisms. She, somehow, isn't too perturbed by this fact and tells him to intervene.The Father visits Joel and announces that his son is possessed. At first, Joel isn't too keen on letting the priest enter his house. But soon, he caves when he sees his son displaying otherworldly characteristics.A doctor is called in too who checks on Mason and reveals that she has heard voices inside his son.Joel allows them to perform an exorcism and his hallucinations heighten. The therapist visits him unannounced to check if Joel has been treating his son right.When she sees what is going on, she threatens to alert the authorities. Joel begs her and she asks him to agree to take her help.Joel does and that's when the truth is revealed. The therapist is actually a demon.There are three stages of possession. The first was for the demon to make its presence felt, which Joel did when he saw the hallucinations. The next step was for the demon to take possession. Joel was becoming quiet, strange, and behaving out of character.The third stage was assent. Without it, the demon would be unable to take Joel's soul.
When Joel takes the therapist's help he unwittingly agreed to become possessed.The priests were not there for Mason but for Joel. During the exorcisms, they were calling out to him to come to their side, but Joel was waylaid by the therapist.In the end, the son has also grown up and is in danger of being possessed. Cheryl Winston, who is hosting the party, stops Trick by stabbing him in his stomach with a fireplace poker. With Cheryl in shock, football team captain Troy Meeks takes credit for taking down Trick. Cheryl's friend Nicky Taylor survives Trick's stabbing.Sheriff Lisa Jayne and Detective Mike Denver begin investigating the case at the hospital, where Dr. Steven treats Trick. Trick gets free of his cuffs, attacks Mike, and kills multiple staff members while attempting to escape. Mike and Lisa shoot Trick several times after he takes Cheryl hostage. Trick also kills Mendez, which results in Mike being fired from the FBI.Benton, NY - October 30th 2019 - Lisa summons Mike to a crime scene when deputies Wan, Slater, Green, and Iris Reddick discover Mike's name written in blood as an apparent taunt.Cheryl goes to the hospital to visit her bedridden father, who mysteriously fell from a factory roof. Cheryl's father sees an ominous face appear on his room's TV, but he is unable to communicate with Cheryl or Dr. Steven.Mike chases Trick through a cemetery, but Trick gets away. Trick lures Deputy Green to a barge where he impales her with a trap before decapitating her with Agent Mendez's tombstone.Mike and Lisa investigate Cheryl's former house where the 2015 party took place. They find evidence that Trick was there. Someone steals Mike's SUV while he and Lisa are inside.Cheryl and Nicky take Nicky's younger siblings Janice and Greg to a church fundraiser where diner owner Mr. Talbott entertains locals with a horror movie marathon inside and a haunted maze outside. Troy Meeks sneaks into the event with Smooth Jonny and several other buddies, although Talbott catches them.Deputy Reddick reports finding Mike's stolen SUV outside the church. Mike and Lisa race to the event and find Reddick dead.Wearing skull makeup and a black hoodie, Trick murders several scare actors in the maze. Trick stabs Nicky. Trick also kills Talbott in the projection booth. As panicked patrons evacuate, Mike rescues Cheryl, Janice, and Greg and sends them to the hospital with Nicky.Mike and Lisa find Troy. Mike and Lisa warn that they believe Trick wants to kill Troy for stabbing Trick with the fireplace poker in 2015. Tory confesses that Cheryl actually stabbed Trick. Mike and Lisa race to the hospital to warn Cheryl.Cheryl visits her father while at the hospital. Surveillance video suddenly plays on the TV revealing Trick caused her father's accident by throwing him from the roof. Cheryl pulls back the bed sheet to discover her father gutted. The hospital's power goes out as Trick attacks Cheryl.Mike and Lisa find Cheryl tied up. Trick viciously stabs Lisa, Mike, and then Cheryl. Following a fight between everyone, Cheryl recovers a gun and shoots Trick several times. Mike then tackles Trick through a window and onto a car in the parking garage beneath them. Mike sees that the murderer is actually Smooth Jonny wearing the skull makeup and hoodie.Len, the EMT from 2015, and Brooke, the bartender from 2018, arrive in skull makeup and hoodies to collect Smooth Jonny while Mike remains helpless from his wounds. Deputy Wan and Deputy Slater also arrive. Slater reveals he too is wearing skull makeup when he shoots Wan. Bound to a wheelchair, the real Patrick Weaver joins the group. Trick explains that he and his accomplices were part of an elaborate plot to create the illusion of a supernatural boogeyman. Slater stabs Mike and leaves him with Trick before exiting with Len and Brooke.Mike manages to pull Trick out of his wheelchair. Cheryl comes to help Mike. Cheryl realizes who Trick really is when she sees the scar from the fireplace poker on his stomach. Cheryl lets Trick go, but follows him back inside where he deletes surveillance footage from the hospital's security system.While Dr. Steven treats Lisa, Slater returns to report what happened in the garage. Lisa notices makeup on Slater's neck.Cheryl confronts Trick. Following a violent fight, Cheryl stabs Trick to death.Cheryl wheels Trick's body into Lisa's room. Cheryl explains that Trick is more than one person. Lisa calls out Slater, who suddenly attacks. Cheryl and Lisa kill Slater together.With plans to expand their plot, Len and Brooke leave town with Dr. Steven, who is also part of their conspiracy. Cheryl and Lisa team up to track them down with Mike, who recovered from his injuries.
