One spring, Mole (Richard Pearson) decides that he can ignore the spring cleaning for a little longer, and begins a series of adventures with his new friend Rat (Ian Carmichael). They go for a picnic on the riverbank, on a caravan expedition with Toad (David Jason), until Toad switches allegiance to his new car and his reckless driving makes Mole and Rat search out Badger (Sir Michael Hordern) for help in curbing Toad's profligate habits. But Toad gets away from them and gets a twenty-year sentence from the magistrate for theft, reckless driving, and Gross Impertinence. While Toad works his wiles on the jailer's daughter and escapes from jail dressed as a washer woman, Badger tries to guard Toad Hall from the machinations of the Weasels and is badly beaten. The film begins with Ariyanachi getting ready for her daughter's ear piercing function. It is shown that her husband Ranasingam lives in Dubai to support their family. As the function is happening, Maayi, Ranasingam's younger sister, learns that her brother died during a protest in Dubai through the police. As everyone is in shock and heartbroken, they try to bring Ranasingam's body back to India.In a flashback, Ranasingam is revealed to be a water dowser. Ariyanachi's father hired Ranasingam for divining water on their land. Ariyanachi does not believe him and thinks he is a hoaxster who is tricking her family, whilst also trying to court her. One day when Ranasingam was passing by, Ariyanachi blocked him as asked him to show him where the water is as she believes that he is just making a magic show. He then identifies the water in the sky, saying that it will rain on her side but will not rain on his side. In disbelief, Ariyanachi stood and waited but it happened, which started their love.The film is taken back to the present where their family is still trying to recover Ranasingam's body. Ariyanachi gets a call from Ranasingam's friends abroad, saying that he did not die during a protest but during an accident, while he was working in the oil factory. In shock, Ariyanachi decided to go to the police, where they do not believe her and ask her for evidence. Trying her best, she files a case in court, where they decided to tarnish Ranasingam's name and did not come with a decision.Taken back to the past, it is shown that Ariyanachi and Ranasingam get engaged, but on the day of their wedding, the police decide to enforce a curfew to stop the wedding. They still managed to get married overnight but failed to get any evidence because it was sudden. Ariyanachi tells Ranasingam that she wants to build a house for the whole family to stay. Ranasingam is involved with people's problems and helps them solve them, but this is disliked by the police. As Ariyanachi struggles to bring her husband's body back, she decides to do everything she can. While everyone is at the airport to drop Ranasingam as he is going to Dubai for work, it is shown that Ariyanachi is pregnant. During their calls, he shows Ariyanachi that he got a tattoo of her name on his hand so when he shakes people's hands, the first thing they notice is her.Ariyanachi decides to talk to the MLA, CM, and others, but nothing worked. 10 months passed, and then she decided to take matters into her own hands when she stood on top of the dam attempting to commit suicide. This catches the attention of the Prime Minister of India. Attempts are made to bring Ranasingam's body. Ariyanachi's family picks up the body from the airport, and the funeral arrangements are made. As they go to cremate the body, Ariyanachi finds out that the body is not Ranasingam's as it does not have the tattoo of her name, but she stays quiet. As Ariyanachi is talking to Ranasingam's photo, she asks for forgiveness as she could not bring his body back home. At the end, Ranasingam's body is shown floating in the middle of the ocean as he did pass away due to an accident and his corpse was abandoned or thrown into the ocean.

HOGTOWN is a feature-length, black and white, dramatic feature from writer-director Daniel Nearing. HOGTOWN is nearly 20 years in the making, and is the second film in a trilogy and grows organically out of CHICAGO HEIGHTS, which was based on WINESBURG, OHIO, an 'unadaptable' seminal American novel. The film was named to Roger Ebert's last list of Best Art Films in 2010. The film is set circa 1919 in Chicago and begins with the disappearance of a millionaire theatre owner in a snowstorm. Its climactic sequences play out against the backdrop of the horrific race riots of that summer. The film is ostensibly about a murder investigation, but HOGTOWN is much more an exploration of this most American of American cities, looking into the intimate lives of many of its people. This 'period-less piece' is shot in undisguised contemporary Chicago, suggesting that the issues of its era resonate through the present. Herman Wilkins makes his feature debut as a leading actor in HOGTOWN, playing not just DeAndre Son Carter, the protagonist, but also Marquis Coleman, a major secondary character. The film is carried by a multi-racial, multilingual ensemble cast of more than 100, along with a full wind symphony and gospel score. HOGTOWN is the second film in a trilogy of period art films that are shot in black and white with the occasional appearance of 'ecstatic' or 'epiphanal' color.

At the start of World War Two English humorist P.G. Wodehouse and his wife Ethel are living in France but fail to escape the invading Germans when their car breaks down. Wodehouse is sent to an internment camp in Poland where he entertains his fellow inmates with his witty anecdotes so that A German who met him in America suggests that Wodehouse be allowed to broadcast to the Americans - not yet in the war - thus giving the impression that the Third Reich is not so monstrous. Under the guise of his being sixty Wodehouse is released and sent to Berlin to make his broadcasts,which abound in political naivety,and he is shocked when a fellow internee whom he suspects of actively working for the Nazis is released. He comes to feel that he has been used. Ethel travels to Berlin and they move to Paris,where,as the war ends,Wodehouse learns that Ethel's daughter Leonora,has died, A further blow is the knowledge that he may be tried for treason but finds a sympathetic interrogator in secret service officer Malcolm Muggeridge,who arranges for his release from custody. Though Wodehouse is never charged he is made to feel unwelcome in Britain as artists and political commentators register their scorn for his alleged treachery. In 2008 28-year old magazine editor Lisa Lynch and her husband of eighteen months Pete are planning a Stateside visit when Lisa discovers a lump on her breast. Friends do not think it serious but on doctor's advice she visits a specialist. She has cancer though it is believed to be operable with Lisa also undergoing chemotherapy, resulting in hair loss. Referring to the illness as The Bullsh*t Lisa starts an online journal, which she calls Alright Tit, and which her friends encourage her to turn into a public blog, writing about the cancer wittily and with no self-pity. In 2011 a second operation is required and Lisa passes away two years later, surrounded by the ever supportive Pete and her family.
