Chloe confesses she is Adam and admits she orchestrated the creature's breakout so she could kill her captors and escape with her unborn child.The creature captures Beckett. Having escaped his restraints, Marshall enters and forces the monster to release Beckett by threatening to shoot Chloe. Beckett retrieves a flamethrower that he uses to torch the creature to death.Chloe escapes outside where she runs into Olek. Claiming she never meant for him to get hurt, Chloe apologizes to Beckett, but then pulls a knife and stabs him. Olek stabs Chloe in retaliation. They both fall to the forest floor.Beckett and Marshall make it outside to find Chloe on the ground. Chloe suddenly attacks both men with her knife. A physical fight ensues until Beckett and Marshall kill Chloe.Marshall continues mutating from his bite wound. Beckett leaves Marshall behind to collapse.Beckett calls his wife. Before he can say a word however, Beckett collapses from the wounds suffered in his fight with Chloe. When an extraction team arrives later, Beckett mutates into a monster and attacks. Jessica Chambers confronts her husband John about having an affair with one of his students, Vivienne Ballard. John agrees to Jessica's demand that he immediately end his extramarital relationship. To repair the animosity in their marriage, John also agrees to a family vacation at a remote plantation house with their 14-year-old daughter Anna.After settling in, Jessica instructs John to purchase veal cutlets for dinner despite John preferring hamburgers. At the store in town, Anna takes an interest in 18-year-old local Isaac, who flirts oddly with Anna. The store owner, whom Isaac identifies as his Grandpappy, eyes John suspiciously when he tells Anna he couldn't find veal, even though the store carries plenty. Grandpappy writes a note on John's receipt that reads, "You are being watched by the devil."When they return to the house, John and Anna find Jessica trying to open a locked door to a mysterious room. The family is unable to get inside.Isaac comes to the house to invite everyone to dinner with his Grandpappy. Jessica learns John lied about having to buy hamburger meat when Isaac says they will be cooking veal since their store has so much of it. Inexplicably, the record he chooses plays a recording of a private conversation in which John promises to divorce Jessica while professing his love to Vivienne. Jessica realizes John lied about ending his affair and had no intention of saving their marriage. To deflect the unwanted attention on him, John makes a claim that Jessica must be participating in a plot with the two men to torment him.Isaac reenters the room with Anna's cat safely in his arms. Jessica and Anna spot an unknown animal outside. The family becomes even more uncomfortable when Isaac retrieves a shotgun that he threateningly uses to further heighten their fear.John agrees to go outside with Isaac. Once they're alone, John reminds Isaac that he hired him to kill Jessica and to make the home invasion look like a robbery. John demands to know what Isaac is playing at by going off script with voodoo illusions and the recording of his conversation with Vivienne. Isaac agrees to go back to John's original murder-for-hire scheme.Jessica tells Grandpappy she believes Isaac is evil. Jessica bargains to leave John behind if Grandpappy agrees to let her and Anna leave, but Grandpappy refuses the offer.John and Isaac come back inside. Despite promising to follow John's plot, Isaac turns the tables by locking John inside the mysterious room instead of shooting Jessica.Vivienne shows up at the front door saying she received an urgent text from John. Jessica quickly explains what is happening and instructs Vivienne to go to the police. However, Vivienne discovers her car will no longer start and she is now locked inside of it.John demands to be let out of the locked room. Isaac tells John to open the closet door. When he does, a wolf attacks John.At gunpoint, Grandpappy escorts Anna outside and threatens to shoot her mother unless she pours gasoline all over Vivienne's car. To spare her daughter the trauma, Jessica pours the gasoline instead. Grandpappy sets the car on fire and Vivienne dies. Jessica uses the explosion as a distraction that allows her to beat Grandpappy to death with a hammer.Jessica goes back inside the house to find the wolf mauling her husband. With his dying breath, John asks his wife to tell Vivienne that he loves her.Jessica returns outside to find her daughter held hostage and Isaac proposing that he will run off with Anna. Isaac explains that John hired him to kill Jessica, but he decided John deserved to die instead.Jessica wrestles away the shotgun and uses it to shoot Isaac. As he bleeds out on the ground, Jessica asks Isaac who he really is. Isaac claims he and Grandpappy built the house centuries ago for sinners like John, and it is their task as moral compasses to kill the wicked. Isaac coyly adds that he could be a demon, an angel, or just a confused kid.Jessica and Anna escape in their car and drive to a sheriff's station. After hearing about the ordeal, Deputy Torres tells Jessica that there isn't a house at the location she described. Jessica insists that she and the deputy go there together. Upon returning to the property, Jessica is shocked to see that the house and the bodies inexplicably disappeared.On their drive back to the station, Torres instructs Jessica to open her patrol car's glove box. Jessica finds a video camera from the house whose footage shows Isaac asking Jessica to turn around. When she does, Jessica sees Isaac and Grandpappy driving by in their red pickup truck.Torres tells Jessica that Isaac and Grandpappy aren't human, but they help keep order by sending evildoers to Hell. Reminding Jessica that no one will believe the truth if she tries to tell it, Torres advises Jessica to embrace the second chance Isaac gave her and to never return to the house on the bayou. He is living an honorable life by LDS standards, and believes that repressing his true sexuality is necessary in order to have an eternal family in heaven.RJ has finished college, and is working in Seattle as a magazine editor. He is out of the closet, and has a long time significant other, Paul. He can not forget his faith, and he still prays and wears the sacred undergarments. But he drinks alcohol, and coffee, both forbidden, and does not attend church. Although he is now dating another man, he has published a book about his relationship with Chris, and clearly hasn't forgotten him. However, he has no idea that Chris has married a woman and has a child.One day at work, he receives a call from Gloria, Rodney's mother. Rodney is the veteran he met while serving his mission, and RJ has maintained contact with him. Rodney's mother informs RJ that he has passed away. RJ then makes plan to attend the funeral.Meanwhile, Chris has also decided to attend the service. They see each other at the graveside, but Chris makes no eye contact, and attempts to walk away without speaking to RJ. RJ pushes the issue, insisting they meet for closure. Chris reluctantly agrees.The meeting is awkward, with Chris appearing distinctly uncomfortable. He tells RJ that he is a practicing Mormon, with a family. RJ lets Chris know that he is dating Paul, and the two cannot resolve their differences. RJ is frustrated, returning home to Seattle, where a loving Paul is waiting for him with a home cooked dinner.Both RJ and Chris now have a lot on their minds. Old memories and passions have been stirred up. Although Paul recently met RJ's parents for the first time, soon RJ gently tells him that he cannot give him what he needs, terminating their relationship.At Chris's house in Salt Lake, his wife Emily is pleased with her success with a cosmetic company. She wants to make love that night, but after seeing RJ, Chris is suddenly unable to function with her. He creeps off into a bathroom in their large home, masturbating, while he looks at himself in the mirror with loathing.On impulse, RJ decides to return to Salt Lake to confront Chris about marrying a woman. Chris tells RJ the story of his reparative therapy. He is apologetic. RJ has the closure he sought, but it is not the answer he was hoping for. They hug as old friends, and say goodbye.The next evening, Chris and Emily have a Mormon couple over for dinner. After eating, the man, Aaron, asks the 2 women to go get ice cream so that he can discuss church matters with Chris. He reads a Bible passage about the love of Jesus, and he tells Chris that he knows what happened 5 years ago on the mission. He also struggles with same sex attraction, and he thinks they can help each other. Chris is furious and tells him to get out. The two women return, and while it is clear that there has been an argument, the men do not discuss it.The following night, Emily attends a ceremony with her company to celebrate her sales productivity. Late at night, on her way home, she drives past RJ's hotel, and sees Chris's car in the parking lot. The two men have finally given into their passion that evening. She pulls into the parking lot and sees them kissing intensely, as Chris is leaving.Emily angrily confronts Chris, and he calls a family meeting, asking RJ to attend. Only his father, a highly placed Mormon church leader, had previously known about Chris's sexuality. Chris tells everyone that he is gay, and that RJ is the one he truly loves. His father is disgusted, and his mother is incredulous. Chris's brother is livid, accusing RJ of leading Chris astray. He jumps up as if to deliver a physical blow, but his father tells him to sit down. Emily accuses RJ of being a home wrecker, and screams at him, tells him she hates him, ordering him to get out.RJ goes back to his hotel room, where he experiences a crisis of faith. He can't accept that he and Chris cannot be together because of their religion. He cries, prays, and trashes the hotel room. Finally, he cuts out the sacred symbols of his undergarments and throws the remainder in the trash. He is done with the Mormon religion, or so he thinks.Meanwhile, Noah Merrill calls Tom Smith, RJ's father. At first Tom is very deferential to Noah as a church leader, but soon they are arguing. Noah accuses Tom of allowing RJ to parade around like a pansy. Although Tom has struggled for years with accepting his son's sexuality, he defends RJ, and tells Noah that his son has undergone a long spiritual journey to accept himself.Later, when Chris and Emily attempt to discuss the issue, Emily says she refuses to be abandoned. Chris tells her that he has feelings for RJ that he could have for no woman.Chris's parents both speak with him privately. While his mother is very supportive, his father is still very angry. He demands that Chris write a letter to all their family and friends about his sin.Shortly thereafter, there is a family gathering for the Merrill's 25th wedding anniversary. Chris sings a religious song for the group, then RJ walks in and kisses him passionately in front of the horrified crowd.RJ returns to Seattle, and Chris continues to deal with the fall-out from his revelation. RJ is surprised to receive a letter from Chris, forgiving him for making a scene at the party.As the film ends, RJ's voice over lets us know that the relationship remains unresolved, but it is not over.

Football Coach Rusty Russell (Luke Wilson) believed that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. He believed in himself and in 12 Mighty Orphans, who, against all odds, went on to play the Football State Championship in 1938. The film fables the exemplary tale of misfits and forgotten children who became the mighty orphans, the classic underdogs.
The film shows the Texas High School State Championship, 1938, where the Orphans play against the Sandies. After a devastating half-time, the narrative rolls back to 6 months earlier.War Hero Rusty Russell (Luke Wilson) arrives in Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife Juanita (Vinessa Shaw) and young daughter to join The Masonic Home. Rusty takes the job of new math, science teacher, and football coach in the Orphan School. While Juanita is hired to teach English. Warden Frank Wynn (Wayne Knight) welcomes the new teachers and gets them accustomed to the school.
Rusty soon learns of the ongoing horror in the school. Warden Frank physically assaults kids to compel them into child labor to fill his own pockets. The orphan boys lack education and are unaware of their own freedom of expression. With the help of the school's physician, E.P. Hall "Doc Hall," (Martin Sheen) Rusty fosters a football team. Rusty believes that the game will bring self-respect and passion to these boys roaming like aimless chickens indulging themselves in an abyss of manual labor.What lays ahead is a series of hurdles in the Orphans' pursuit towards the state championship.
Warden Frank Wynn did everything in his power to stop the orphans from playing football. He feared that the game would bring passion in the aimless boys who would prefer to spend time on the field instead of his printing workshop.
Warden Frank was a hard nut to crack, but the boys themselves were the first hurdle in Rusty's journey. They were hard-boiled and untrained and only a bunch of hooligans to begin with. Fortunately, Rusty and Doc Hall knew how to melt down the boys' egos and train them appropriately. Looking at their zeal, Rusty applied for their admission in "the Interscholastic League." However, the new rules stated that all players were required to take a basic aptitude test. Rusty took that as a challenge and taught the unschooled boys. To his surprise, only 12 Orphans passed the aptitude test, and thus Rusty was obliged to make a team of only 12 players. To fill the gap in the group, all the players had to play both ways, which was pretty endearing and courageous. Players include Snoggs (Jacob Lofland), Chicken (Sampley Barinaga), Wheatie (Slade Monroe).
The boys trained passionately without shoes, football, and proper equipment, and Rusty left no stone upturned to transform them into mighty warriors. He gets the girls wing to stitch uniforms and helmets for his players. Now, it was time to test their mettle in their first football match.The Mighty Orphans played their first match against their rival Polytechnic or "The Poly Parrots" in 1938. Though they lost the game to the Ploys, the Orphans were just warming up. They took the Texas Football Circuit by a blitz and became the Classic Underdogs in the middle of the Depression.
Rusty's orphan team players were slim, short, and none crossed the required weight of 200 pounds. Rusty coined a spread offense technique (with a new position called the quarterback) to make up for their limitations that later gave him "hall of fame" recognition in Texas Sports Hall.
The Mighty Orphans were on a winning spree and soon came across their nemesis "Polytechnic" again in the Regional Semi-Final. The orphans won the game and entered the state championship, but casualties were fatal to their future efforts. One of their key players, Fairbanks (Levi Dylan), procured severe injuries due to which he never played football again.The orphan team had to play the state championship with only 11 players.
Before the semi-final match, Warden Frank Wynn shared some confidential documents with Polytechnic team captain Luther Scarborough (Lane Garrison). But Luther didn't use this secret weapon until Mighty Orphans won the game against his team. While the orphans were celebrating, UIL accused Orphans team of age violations, mainly lying about their star player Hardy Brown's (Jake Austin Walker) age. They were suspended from the championship, and the Polytechnic team was given their place.According to Hardy's birth certificate submitted to the president of UIL, Rodney Kidd (Scott Haze) (coincidentally, Luther's brother-in-law), Harden Henry Brown was born on September 4th, 1920. As per his age, in 1938, he was deemed ineligible to compete at the high school level. But at the UIL assembly, Hardy told them that the birth certificate belonged to his older brother, who died a week after he was born. Mistakenly, Warden Frank gave the wrong birth certificate to Luther in his pursuit to destroy the Orphan Team. However, even after the revelations, Rodney refused to alter his decision until he got a call from President Roosevelt, who took an active interest in Mighty Orphan's journey.
Finally, 12 Mighty Orphans got a chance to play in the state championship, and they traveled to Amarillo to unleash their hard work. In the meantime, Warden Frank was arrested by the sheriff for violating child labor laws, and his illegal printing press was closed by the principal.In Amarillo, the narrative jumped on to follow the match after half-past time. Sandies were leading with 7 points, while orphans didn't score any. It was a tough fight against the Sandies, who were incredibly huge and robust for the Orphans. The orphans bled and got injured, yet they didn't give up. They used their "Snoggs Special" passing technique against the furious bulls of Sandies. But even with such endeavor, Hardy, who had the last chance to score, failed to touch the goal. Six Golden Sandies piled up on Hardy Brown to stop, and alas, they succeeded. The Mighty Orphans lost the match, though what they won that day couldn't be described in words. It was a belief in themselves that would go on to last their entire lives.A rolling credit sequence gives away the life of prominent characters of the film after their state championship match. Rusty's legacy as the greatest coach in Texas still lives on. The famed Hardy Brown is still known as one of the toughest men in the game. A single man's vision touched so many lives with a single pursuit, and one couldn't be thankful enough for an inspiring tale of their efforts.

After going on a road trip post-graduation, Elle (Joey King) still hasn't made her mind up about whether to go to Berkeley or Harvard - although Noah (Jacob Elordi) is already planning to get an apartment off-campus for the two of them. When Noah and Lee's (Joel Courtney) parents announce they're selling the beach house where they all spent their childhoods, Elle, Noah, Lee and Lee's girlfriend, Rachel (Meganne Young), offer to spend the summer there to help out with the sale.Lee starts to plan on how he can spend time with Rachel, who's going to a different college, while Elle is suddenly faced with a deadline by Berkeley. She chooses to go to Harvard with Noah which annoys Lee, but Elle promises to make it up to him by spending the summer doing their beach bucket list of various activities (Swim with the sharks, atomic wedgie to Noah, Cliff jumping, sky diving, Sandcastles, Pie eating contest, Brain freeze and so on, helium karaoke and so on).Noah's friend Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) - who Elle once thought Noah was having an affair with - arrives at the beach house to make things more complicated (Chloe's parents are getting divorced and Noah gets close to her, comforting her), and they all have a heated argument. Before that Chloe makes a light comment about Elle being very good at video games.
Meanwhile Elle runs into Marco at the beach as well. When Elle tells Noah, he is angry, and Elle says that's a double standard as she OK having Chloe in the house.Noah and Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez) clash at the go-kart track (Elle had asked Noah to dress up as Wario, but he refused and Marco had stepped up, while Elle dressed as Mario and Lee as the Princess. Noah went to race with Marco, but Marco ended up beating him), prompting Noah to call out Elle for not realizing Marco still has feelings for her. Encouraged by Chloe to talk to Elle, Noah quickly makes up with Elle. However, Marco, unwilling to give up, shows up to the Fourth of July party where he again fights with Noah and punches him, but Noah refuses to retaliate.
Meanwhile Elle is also upset that Lee has found another guy, Ashton, who just finished his 1st year at Berkley and the 2 really hit it off and became best friends. Elle is upset for not being Lee's BFF anymore.Marco admits to Elle that he does still have feelings for her, but she's not interested. She goes off to find Noah, but Elle is unaware that Noah saw her acceptance letter to Berkeley. At the same time Elle struggles in accepting her father's new girlfriend, Linda, who tells her she was her mother's friend. She eventually understands and accepts her after her father tells how she and Brad (Carson White) had been his main focus for the last several years and that he deserves a chance in love as well.
Noah's worried that she's only going to Harvard for him (as she has been ignoring Noah while she tries to complete the bucket list with Lee) and he doesn't want Elle to regret it if they later break up. Because of this, Noah breaks up with Elle and encourages her to make a college decision for herself.While dealing with the heartbreak, Elle misses a bucket list with Lee to play Dance Dance Revolution (just before the machine was to be removed forever). They clash when he tells her that he's never mattered to Elle compared to Noah, while she tells him to grow up and that all of her decisions this summer have been about trying to make everybody happy.Noah and Lee's mother tells Elle this much when she comforts her, telling her that she should start thinking about "what it is that you want to do" and choose a college based on that. It was also revealed that Noah and Lee's parents eventually decided to not sell the beach house (when they realize that the beach house means a lifetime of memories for the kids), and Rachel broke up with Lee, having seen the issues that Elle and Noah's relationship had, though she hopes they will reunite somehow. Marco apologizes to Elle, and they say their farewells amicably, before Elle reconciles with Lee and tells him that she's realized that she's spent so long maintaining her relationships with Noah and Lee that she hasn't worked out what makes her happy. She applies to University of Southern California (USC), in Game Design (she gets in after she pitches her idea for a fantasy sports league for e-sports). She tells the news to Lee, who is happy for her.Six years later, Elle is developing her own game. She and Lee remained close friends, both often visiting the fated Kissing Booth at the Charity Fair. Additionally, Lee and Rachel reunited with each other and got engaged after college. Sometime later, Elle sees Noah for (presumably) the first time since their breakup where he reveals he has job offers at law firms in Los Angeles and New York. He hasn't decided where he's going but does suggest going on a motorcycle ride when he's back in town. Noah says he will call Elle and she says she would like that. They part ways, but not before looking back each other - it is made clear they have never stopped loving each other.At the end of the movie, you see Elle and Noah riding down the coastline in California on their motorcycles, laughing and having fun, alluding that Noah chose the LA office and they rekindled their romance now that they have both grown up.
