While the Griffins are watching television one night, the power goes out and they are left sitting in the dark with no other form of entertainment. While they wait for the power to return, Peter decides to tell the story of Star Wars (starting with part four), where the characters from Family Guy are re-imagined as Star Wars characters.An extremely expository opening crawl reveals several plot spoilers such as Darth Vader being Luke Skywalker's father and Princess Leia being his sister before trailing off to talk about Angelina Jolie and her movie Gia. Finally, a large Rebel ship is seen being captured by a Star Destroyer. On the ship are the droids C-3PO (Quagmire) and R2-D2 (Cleveland). While the ship is boarded by stormtroopers, Princess Leia (Lois) tries to send an MPEG to Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) through R2, but encounters so many complications that R2 offers to deliver the message himself. Leia is captured by Darth Vader (Stewie) while R2 and 3PO flee to Tatooine in an escape pod, where they are captured by Jawa traders.The droids are sold to a family of moisture farmers, Uncle Owen (Carter Pewterschmidt) and Aunt Beru (Barbara Pewterschmidt) and their nephew, Luke Skywalker (Chris), who wishes to join the Rebellion and fight the evil Empire, all the while enjoying John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra performing in the background. While cleaning the droids that night, Luke stumbles upon Leia's message inside R2, who escapes by the next morning. Luke and 3PO go out after him and meet Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert), who takes the three to his hut. Leia's message explains that R2 contains the plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star, which must be sent to her father on her home planet of Alderaan (the message also mentions a certain "mess" he got into with the children there). Obi-Wan tells Luke that he must learn the ways of the Force and accompany him to Alderaan, and gives him his own lightsaber. Realizing that the Empire would be looking for the droids, Luke returns home to discover that his home has been destroyed and his aunt, uncle, John Williams, and the London Symphony Orchestra have all been killed by Imperial stormtroopers, though Luke is only concerned with Williams' death, since the film must now be scored by Danny Elfman, whom Luke beheads after hearing a few seconds of his music (a slightly altered version of The Simpsons theme-tune). Regardless, the original score plays throughout the rest of the episode.Luke, Obi-Wan, and the droids travel to Mos Eisley in search of a ship and pilot to take them to Alderaan. At a local cantina, they meet and hire smuggler Han Solo (Peter), "the only actor whose career wasn't destroyed by this movie", and his Wookiee co-pilot Chewbacca (Brian), who agree to take them on their ship, the Millennium Falcon. The group is spotted by stormtroopers and flees into space, evading pursuing Star Destroyers with some flashy maneuvers (i.e., listing lazily to the left) before jumping into hyperspace, traveling through the time vortex tunnel from the opening of the Tom Baker-era Doctor Who. Meanwhile, Leia is being held captive on the Death Star, where commanding officer Grand Moff Tarkin (Mayor West) has Alderaan destroyed to test the space station's "planet blower-upper gun."The Millennium Falcon exits hyperspace into the middle of an Asteroid field where Alderaan once was. The ship is then captured by the nearby Death Star's tractor beam and brought into its hangar bay, assisted by valets. Disguising themselves as stormtroopers ("being cool" to the tune of Minnie the Moocher), Han and Luke set off to rescue the captive Princess while Obi-Wan leaves to shut off the tractor beam, but not before performing "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" with stormtroopers as a farewell to Luke. Han, Luke, and Chewie head deeper into the Death Star and rescue Leia, and the four dive into a nearby garbage chute to escape from the stormtroopers. Ending up in the garbage compactor (the only instance Meg appears, as the dianoga skulking in the murky water), they are nearly crushed until 3PO gets high off of marijuana R2 gave him earlier and leans against the off switch. Before they escape, Han and Chewie insist on taking a couch they found in the garbage with them. Obi-Wan manages to turn off the tractor beam before he is confronted by Darth Vader in a lightsaber duel; in it, Obi-Wan's blade falls limp until he sees Luke, and it becomes erect. Vader strikes Obi-Wan down as the others board the Falcon and escape, taking their new couch with them.Warding off a group of "Thai Fighters" sent to stop them, the Falcon journeys to the Rebel base at Yavin IV where the Death Star plans are analyzed by the Rebels and a weakness is found. The attack requires a pilot to skim along a trench in a one-man starfighter to attack a vulnerable exhaust port added for aesthetics (Vader had ordered it to be boarded up earlier, but delayed the process to "get estimates"); in addition, they watch an instructional video featuring Magic Johnson that explains the strategy. Luke joins the assault team while Han collects his reward for the rescue (a gift basket with rather meager prizes) and leaves, much to Luke's dismay. The Rebel fighters suffer heavy losses (including Redd Foxx) during the assault, though Luke remains piloting one of the few remaining ships. During his run, Luke hears Obi-Wan's voice telling him to use the Force, and he turns off his targeting computer. Darth Vader appears with his own group of fighters and is about to fire at Luke's ship, when Han arrives in the Millennium Falcon (sitting comfortably with Chewbacca at his side on his new couch) and attacks Vader and his wingmen, sending Vader careening off into space. Guided by the Force, Luke fires a successful shot into the port which destroys the Death Star, and he returns to the Rebel base with his friends to celebrate their victory.Back in the Family Guy universe, just after Peter wraps up the story, the power comes back on in their house. Everyone thanks Peter for keeping them entertained, though Chris points out that Robot Chicken already did the same thing three months before (Chris is voiced by Seth Green, creator of Robot Chicken). A discussion follows, in which Peter denigrates that show as Chris defends it. Chris finally leaves the room in frustration as Peter indifferently hums part of the Star Wars end credits music. Bigger Thomas (Ashton Sanders) is a young African-American man living with his family in modern day Chicago. One day, Bigger receives an opportunity to interview for a job as the live-in chauffeur for the wealthy businessman Henry Dalton (Bill Camp) and his family. Bigger's friend Gus (Jerod Haynes) wants Bigger to participate in a robbery with him instead, but Bigger's girlfriend Bessie (Kiki Layne) convinces him to take the interview. The interview with Mr. Dalton goes successfully, and Bigger is introduced to Mrs. Dalton (Elizabeth Marvel) and Mary (Margaret Qualley), Mr. Dalton's radical and liberal, left-wing daughter.That night, Bigger drives Mary to a political meeting led by her boyfriend, Jan Erlone (Nick Robinson). Afterward, Jan and Mary take Bigger out to a local club that Bigger frequents, and the three become friends. As Bigger grows closer to Jan and Mary, he has a falling out with Gus. Bigger failed to show up for the robbery he promised he would participate in, leaving Gus to abandon it. Gus accuses Bigger of succumbing to the white upper-class stereotypes he himself had shown disdain for. After attending an orchestra with Mary and Jan, Bigger retreats to his room to find an expensive album he had wished to purchase gifted to him by Mary. In thanks, Bigger obtains drugs for Mary and Jan to take at a party.At the party, Mary and Jan get into an argument after Jan discovers Mary making out with another guy. Bigger drives Mary home and goes to his room. However Mary, who is experiencing strong side effects from the drugs, is dancing around outside half-dressed and shouting. Bigger, fearing he will lose his job if Mary is discovered like this by her parents, helps Mary to her room. Mrs. Dalton is awakened by the noise and begins to call out to Mary. Bigger attempts to calm Mary down to no avail and proceeds to hold a pillow over her face to stop the noise. After Mrs. Dalton returns to her room, Bigger discovers that he has accidentally smothered Mary to death. He then drags Mary's body to the furnace room in the basement and cremates it.The next day, Bigger is interviewed by two police detectives, named Calhoun and Rogers, who have been hired by Mr. Dalton to find his missing daughter. Jan, however, is initially the prime suspect in Mary's disappearance until one of Mary's pieces of jewelry is found in the furnace by another of Mr. Dalton's staff, forcing Bigger to flee.As police put out a city-wide warrant for Bigger's arrest, he goes into hiding. He privately meets up with Jan, who tells Bigger that he should turn himself in. However, Bigger refuses, aware that he will not receive a fair trial or any fair treatment by the racist police. Similarly, Bessie, who has been hiding Bigger, pleads with him to turn himself in too. Bigger convinces Bessie to run away with him instead, and takes her to an abandoned building where they spend the night.The next morning, Bessie and Bigger have an argument in which Bigger indirectly confesses to murdering Mary. Upon further argument, Bigger begins to strangle Bessie to death but comes to his senses and stops himself. Bessie runs away in fear. The police arrive, having been alerted to Bigger's whereabouts by some passersby who spotted Bigger looking out a window of the building. The police confront Bigger, who is turned away with his hands in his jacket pockets. Turning around, Bigger begins to take his hands out of his pockets. The police shoot and kill him, mistakenly believing that he had a gun in his hand.

James narrates the beginning of the movie, explaining what is going on and who the people are. There appears to be a strong wind blowing debris but it is a weed eater cutting grass.James is celebrating his 29th birthday with his family in Wales. He has terminal cancer and must walk with a cane and take morphine and other medications.Davy has been declared redundant by a PR firm and must live with the family of his wife Chloe, James' sister. Chloe isn't happy, and they have children.Bill planted a tree which will be taken for permanent relocation to a favorite place on the coast that James wants to visit one last time. The audience later learns Bill's girlfriend is pregnant and while he acts immature, he is very concerned about his ability to be what his girlfriend needs him to be.Miles is an aspiring writer but not successful yet. His father, a successful writer, died of cancer.After the party with the family the four men are ready to go on their long journey to Barafundle Bay in Pembrokeshire. Bill is told not to take his guitar. The journey starts in a vehicle but eventually the group must walk to their destination which will require four nights of camping. A cart carries all their stuff, and since James can only walk so much, it must carry him as well.Early in the journey the group stops at an event which includes music resembling what Americans call bluegrass. Miles visits the restroom along with a young boy wearing angel wings who is no angel. He realizes his watch is missing and goes in search of the boy. The boy is quite rude and starts to give the watch back but ends up throwing it in the water. Miles doesn't try to retrieve it but returns to the event, where a fight starts. The men all get involved, even James (he seems to be enjoying it) and then they run away,The first couple of nights camping include nonsensical fun. The journey also includes treating the cart like a sled on a long hill.To get to where they are going, the men must take a ferry. The ticket seller is somewhat quirky and the men have to negotiate to get a fair price.Once on the other side, the men visit a rocky beach where a man is searching for treasure. As the man explains it, he met a Chinese sailor in France who claimed he lost a shipment of valuable Star Wars memorabilia. The items should have washed up in the area where the man was searching, and he had already found items with sell by dates indicating they were from the same time.As the group prepares to camp once again, James tells Davy he can't get up and needs his medication but doesn't want to tell the others. Over the next couple of days, there are discussions of what happens when we die and whether there is a God, and confessions made to some or all of the group. Miles wants to be with Chloe, and Bill finally admits his girlfriend is pregnant. James has read Miles' first novel and was impressed.There is one scene with wild horses, where one of the men refers to the Third Star which is a guide to a destination, the one reference to the movie's title.Before they arrive at their destination, the group must use a rope to go down a long hill. One of the men has to carry James.There is a discussion about whether to extend the vacation, but Miles says he must get back to work.James has a bad episode and it is suggested they give up. James is determined to keep going.On the fourth night of camping, the men set off fireworks. One goes in the wrong direction, setting a tent on fire. All four men must now share one tent. Also, James is in terrible pain and his medication cannot be found. Two of the men go back to where they were before to see if it fell out. It did, and they bring it back.At last the destination is reached. James realizes it's not the place he thought it was. Nevertheless, the men all go in the ocean. The tree that was supposed to be planted is no longer with them, after an argument earlier.The men start their journey home. During an argument after Miles' phone rings, since they were hoping to be out of touch, the cart goes over a cliff. The men still have most of their stuff but now they must carry James. Miles has explained his work requires he stay in touch.James is realizing the rest of his life will be nothing but pain and medication. He wants to go in the ocean and for the others to just leave him there. They don't want to do that, but eventually they do.James narrates the end of the movie.
