In the winter of 1946, in Leningrad, a group of German prisoners of war are sent to a female transit camp by the cruel Russian Commander Pavlov. When they arrive, the Russian female soldiers show the hostility to the enemies that have killed their husbands, families and friends; only Dr. Natalia and the cook treat the prisoners with dignity. Natalia has an agreement with Commander Pavlov to keep her former lover, who was wounded on the head during the war and is slow, in the camp instead of sending him to an institution in Siberia. Pavlov assigns Natalia to disclose members of the SS infiltrated in the group of prisoners. Natalia and the prisoner Max feel a great attraction for each other while the prisoner Klaus tries to convince Max to denounce a couple of prisoners to satisfy the Russian. Natalia convinces the businessman Yakov to organize an orchestra with the prisoners; they are invited to play in a ball, where the lonely women that survived the war dance with the Germans. After the ball, Natalia convinces Officer Elena to let the prisoners spend the night with the women. Former Catholic priest Oliver O'Grady - Father Ollie in more familiar circumstances - talks about his life as priest, including what he saw as his many failings in that role. Although not stating it as one of those failings, he also speaks about the sexual abuse of minors, both girls and boys, in his role as a priest, where his victims number in the hundreds covering approximately two decades in Central California, with his youngest known victim being nine months old. He admits that he spent as much time planning his abuses, which included gaining the confidences of parents sometimes also in sexual means, than he did with actual ministering. A handful of his victims and their support networks speak of how the abuse was able to happen, how it has negatively affected their collective lives to this day (while Father Ollie walks seemingly happy a free man in his native Ireland), and how they are trying to regain their faith in a holistic manner. Experts talk about how items specific to the Catholic religious structure institutionalize such abuse where power rests in the hands of a small few, while the flock - the masses - are meant, as good Catholics, to be subservient to that power, and why the abuse of girls is treated differently by the church than that of boys. This documentary then opens up the discussion to the fact that clergy abuse within the Catholic church is not isolated only to Father Ollie, but is widespread, may be institutionalized psychologically, and efforts are still made at almost every step by those in positions of power, including the Pope, to protect the abusers at the expense of the victims. In Father Ollie's case, he was moved from parish to parish within his diocese (the Los Angeles Diocese) and often promoted, while his victims were told he would be moved not only into therapy but into positions where children could no longer be abused.—Huggo

Despite not having worked as an on air entertainment reporter for close to two decades, Lex Riley has retained her celebrity status as the wife of on air sportscaster, Charles Hammond. She continues with George's advice to put herself out there in the social media world as she documents her life as a "chalet person" with gusto. The Chalet is a family business run by American-born Frenchman Eric Tremblay, who came into the business to help his widowed mother, Celine Tremblay, upon the sudden death of his sister who previously helped run it. As Lex and Eric spend time together, they may help each other find what they want in their next respective phases of life. Georgia Bright is a special education teacher in Indiana. Ever since their mother passed away, Georgia has acted as the surrogate mother to her younger sister Lizzie Bright, and as such has always been seen as the responsible one taking the safe path in life. While she has been accepted to grad school in Indiana, she has also been recommended to a program that would take her around the world teaching special ed which is more uncertain in terms of what that life would hold. Instead of spending Christmas in Indiana as they usually do, Georgia and their father Michael Bright will spend Christmas in London where Lizzie now lives, they collectively having Christmas with Lizzie's boyfriend Henry Carter and his family. While in London, Georgia meets Graham Savoy, and despite their slightly antagonistic first encounter, there seems to be a romantic spark between the two. Slowly over time, Georgia learns that Graham is Henry's older half brother, that Henry is planning on proposing to Lizzie on Christmas Day which totally catches Georgia off guard, and the looks that Graham always gets is because he is a famous footballer, the captain of Newbourne FC. Closer to the end than the beginning of his career, Graham is at a crossroads in fighting a knee injury which may signal the end of his career. He does not know what his life will look like if he does retire especially as he has always seen football as a connection to his deceased father. And while he has always been wary of entering into a romantic relationship in not knowing if the other person is interested in him or interested in "Graham Savoy", he, in his retirement life, will still have that as an issue while losing that connection to his past. So one of the reasons he was so willing eventually to open up to Georgia was because she had no idea of who he was or his fame. The question becomes if Georgia and Graham can open themselves up to a relationship with all these uncertainties in their lives.—Huggo

The movie consists of 3 short movies, each about Shurik - a nerdy student.. 1. "Naparnik" ("Partner"). Shurik has a fight in a bus with a bully named Fedya because Fedya didn't want to allow a pregnant woman to take his place. Fedya is punished by community work at a construction site, where Shurik also works part-time. Of course, Fedya wants revenge... 2. "Navazhdenie" ("Strange Impression"). It's final exam time. Shurik (like other students) is very busy trying to find material to study. Suddenly he notices necessary material in someone's hands. Shurik follows this person all over the city reading over the shoulder, not even noticing who this person is and where they are going. Next day, after having met a beautiful girl, Shurik constantly has an impression that he's already seen her, visited her apartment etc... 3. "Operatsiya Y" ("Operation Y"). A depository director, trying to cover up embezzlement on his depository, hires 3 crooks to simulate robbery. The plan is to get there at night, overpower an old lady guard and break a few things to make an impression of a big crime. The problem is that the very night the operation "Y" was planned for, the old lady-guard asked the tenant of her apartment (that of course happened to be Shurik) to guard the depository for her.—Boris Shafir
